Pick Up A Free #RomanticSuspense!

ECHO OF FEAR

This is book #1 in a romantic suspense series I've started under my maiden name of Tara Meyers. While PG-13, it is still a clean read. For readers who enjoy a good suspense thriller with a hint of romance, you'll want to pick this one up! And why not, it's free??!!

Chris Echo thought a private island in the South Pacific would be the perfect escape from the terrors of her life as a CSI profiler. But shortly after retreating to the tropical setting, she finds herself trapped in the middle of something far more dangerous.

Kyle Stone is battling his own demons. And it isn’t anything a remote luxury island can fix. After a long undercover mission, he and the guerrilla band he’s infiltrated are traveling to an exchange when a storm washes them ashore. The resort’s guests are taken hostage, and he can either keep his cover intact or save their lives. To complicate matters even further, there’s a beautiful captive who may just be his salvation.

Each of the visitors to the island arrives harboring different fears, but they are about to confront the ultimate fear of all, a struggle between life and death. In the midst of the turmoil, Chris begins to realize that perhaps death isn’t her greatest challenge after all.

PG-13 for coarse language, violence, and adult situations

Well ... I did it. I published the first book in a new series in a brand-new genre, Romantic Suspense! Because it's such a different theme, I created a new platform and pen name, Tara Meyers.

A Distant Echo - A New Crime Series!

I have an announcement that I'm quite excited about!

I've started a new crime thriller series, under the pen name Tara Meyers. As an introduction to this series, I have just released a short story, A Distant Echo. It's about 10,000 words, so an hour to an hour-and-a-half read.

This is a different theme than what I've written so far, under Tara Ellis. It's in the adult crime genre, so a bit more gritty than my kids and teen books! While still on the PG13 side, the situations are intense and not suitable for younger readers.

Check it out, and then sign up for the newsletter for your chance to win an advance copy of the first full length novel, Echoes of Fear, coming out January, 2017.

A Distant Echo

Criminal profiler, Chris Echo, has worked hard to become one of the elite members of Seattle's police department. Nothing, not even her personal life, gets in the way of her pursuits to track down ruthless killers. With a serial murderer on the loose, Chris struggles to find the connections necessary to close in on a suspect. While taking risks to force the answers, she unexpectedly places herself in the path of her worst nightmare.

A Distant Echo is a short story of around 10,000 words and takes the average reader one to one-and-a-half hours to read. It is a lead-in to a new, thrilling crime series called The Chris Echo Mysteries.
